LOCAL ARTIST: GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR by way of SWITZERLAND: VERONICA BAIDAL

Hello Everyone,

This time I bring you a local artist from Ecuador. Her name is Veronical Baidal and she is from the city of Guayaquil. She is a singer songwriter in a more soft style of the alternative genre. I place her between Sarah Mclachlan with Dido and a tinch of Alison Moyet by way of some latin rhythms. She wrote her first song at age 15 and decided to be a Dj at 17. For four years she made her friends dance with the best in electronica (house and techno). Veronica has always loved music and writing music. At age 19 she decided to learn how to play the guitar. She thought that the best way to express her thoughts was by writing and singing songs. In 2005 she played live in various places in Guayaquil. In 2007, she went to Zug and Luzern, Switzerland to play her music. She presently lives in Switzerland and is planning to come down to Ecuador in October to do some concerts.
