Today In Alternative Music History: March 16, 1977
The Sex Pistols’ "antics" cause them to be dropped by A&M Records (who endured internal protests over signing the group six days earlier). The Pistols are allowed to keep their six-figure advance and sign with Virgin Records two months later.
