Born On This Day: "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, October 12, 1945

Today marks the birthday of professional wrestler Dusty Rhodes. Dusty (real name: Virgil Runnels Jr. ) was by far one of the most charismatic wrestlers of all time. Though he did not have the physique, what had was the gift of gab and that along with his wrestling skills made him one of the most popular wrestlers of all time. He is a three time NWA Heavyweight Champion and also held numerous titles in many wrestling promotions. He has two sons who are also wrestlers: Cody and Dustin (Goldust). Dusty had many feuds but none like his rivalry with The Four Horsemen especially Ric Flair and Tully Blanchard in the 80s. Happy Birthday Dusty!!!!
