KATE BUSH: JUST THE FACTS

At the age of 15, Kate was writing and recording songs that were far beyond her years on the family home organ. The song "Wuthering Heights" was written using material from Emily Bronte's novel. Kate hadn't read it at the time, she just skipped through it finding the verses she needed. She often often used any reading material to find lyrics, including newspapers. The book Wuthering Heights was written in 1847, and is considered one the most important books in British literature.
